Two-step Bulk Upload Process with Asynchrounous Resolution

This flow is used for bulk data uploads within Yonomi Platform.​

The two-step bulk upload process involves completely rewriting a device’s data record for a specific trait when the action is resolved. Therefore, instead of uploading only the data that needs to be modified, the entire desired data record/representation should be uploaded. This ensures that the updating data is accurately reflected and replaces the existing data within the trait.

The process begins with a request for an upload URL, which returns a pre-signed URL or an expected return URL.

Upon a successful action, a DEVICE_ACTION_CREATED event is logged, and a webhook event is emitted. The action status at this point is awaiting_data.

Once the file upload is completed, a DEVICE_ACTION_UPDATED event is logged, and a webhook event is emitted with status set to pending.​

When the device completes the action, a DEVICE_ACTION_UPDATED event is generated, and a webhook event is emitted with the status set to resolved. ​
